Danny and the Deep Blue Sea - What a wonderful experience! On Saturday, I went to see the play "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea" written by John Patrick Shanley, and performed by Alison Quinn and Tyler Brooks. In the most intimate theater I've ever been to, the two delivered an excellent performance, making the audience laugh, cry, get scared and fall in love. Shanley wrote in the past very successful screenplays such as "Moonstruck"(1987) and "Doubt" (2008). Hopefully they'll make a film of this one too. Check it out, and if you didn't see it before - RUN AND SEE IT! You won't regret! ELEPHANT THEATRE 6322 SANTA MONICA BOULEVARD LOS ANGELES, CA 90038 http://dannyandroberta.blogspot.com/

There he photographs an eclectic band of “catadores” —self-designated pickers of recyclable materials. Muniz’s initial objective was to “paint” the catadores with garbage. However, his collaboration with these inspiring characters as they recreate photographic images of themselves out of garbage reveals both the dignity and despair of the catadores as they begin to re-imagine their lives. Director Lucy Walker (DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND, BLINDSIGHT and COUNTDOWN TO ZERO) and co-directors João Jardim and Karen Harley have great access to the entire process and, in the end, offer stirring evidence of the tra

In a short time the viewer sees images, hears sounds and voice-overs, and reads titles that all deliver a message. But above all, a well made video has an amazing advantage over print or still images: they convey an experience. The viewer feels, laughs, cries, gets scared, or falls in love.
